Implement a Culture that Embraces Change in Your Medical Clinic

If you are running a medical clinic and you want to constantly implement ongoing change to be more productive and efficient, it isn’t going to be easy.

And I mean real change that will involve everyone:

  • adopting new behaviours
  • learning new skills
  • working outside their comfort zone

In order for this to happen effectively, you’re going to need the following:

  1. a focussed direction (mission and values)
  2. clearly set expectations
  3. have established a respectful candor in the group to allow for the free-flowing of constructive feedback
  4. multidirectional accountability
  5. a strong leader(s) with the ability to check their ego

Here’s the problem.  All of the above takes time and effort.

As a medical clinic owner, if you’re not seeing patients, you’re not making money.

So what happens?

Often, very little… and who could blame you.

This would require work in the evenings and weekends, and if you have a family or any semblance of a social life, then chances are, then chances are, team-development activities will likely take a hit.

In some cases, medical clinic owners don’t value such activities, or, aren’t aware of the benefits.

Check out these reports that punctuate the importance of investing in such activities…

  • LinkedIn conducted a study that found a strong correlation between investment in employee learning and development and reduced turnover.

Imagine if there was a company whose sole purpose was to develop programs specifically for medical clinics?

Programs with the purpose of:

  • helping medical clinic owners to “get their time back”
  • empowering staff to embrace change
  • reducing turnover
  • improving the morale of the team
  • integrate new staff members to the existing team
